Centuries ago, heroic Samurai Power Rangers waged a war against an army of darkness. The newest generation of Power Rangers continue their quest to master the ancient Symbols of Samurai Power which gives them control over the elements Fire, Water, Sky, Forest, Earth and Light in order to fend off Master Xandred and his army of Nighlok. With the guidance of their Samurai mentor, and by practicing the mysterious Samurai Symbols of Power and activating the Ancient Samurai Sword Discs they unlock even greater powers than previously thought possible. To battle the impending threat of Master Xandred, Nighloks and new villain, Serrator, the Samurai Rangers learn to use the legendary Black Box Morpher to form all new Megazord combinations and become Super Samurai. Through teamwork, they also learn to invoke the power of their ancestors to morph into Shogun Mode and protect humanity from the Netherworld's villains and defeat Master Xandred once and for all!
